This club is for young people, aged between 11 and 25, who have learning and/or physical disabilities. We provide a range of activities throughout the year, aiming to give people a chance to try something new, and to participate in an activity outside of school or college. The emphasis is on having fun, but people will also gain social skills, improve fitness, coordination and sports skills. ________________________________________________________ We are delighted that we have been formally approved for Non-branded affiliation of the Royal Mencap Society. This was a long process involving much paperwork and writing policies. What do non-branded affiliated groups get?
Last year we decided that it would be worth the effort for the credibility it will add to the club, and to enable us to access their CRB checking procedures.

_______________________________________________________Return to top of page We have done really well collecting vouchers this year. We hope to order new bibs for the football group, a large first aid kit, and may some wooden full size cricket bats. Thanks to all who helped. _____________________________________________________________
Sunday 6th September
at QEII Centre, Bursledon, starting at 10.00 and lasting about 2 hours.
Join us or sponsor us and raise funds for the club.
We rely on grants to keep operating, but we will need additional
funds to continue running the full range of activities.
Please support us.
Last year was great and we raised £355, shared between us and the QEII
centre, and we hope to do even better this year.
Phil Oates, the centre manager is a heritage guide and we learned
all about the park’s history.
This worked really well, because we had frequent stops to listen to his
stories, giving us a chance to catch our breath before moving on. This year the walk will be a bit shorter and we will finish back at the QEII centre for a BBQ! Please let us know if you will be joining us, and bring family, friends and anyone you can! Sponsorship forms available from Susan or John Perrin. or download Word form here and an information sheet to explain about the club to sponsors here

We are planning a barn dance on 31 October - keep that date clear in your diaries.
If you have any ideas or contacts please get in touch with a committee member.
Page updated 13 June 2009 __________________________________________________________ Sponsored Walk We enjoyed a great walk on Sunday 21 July, led by Phil Oates from the QEII centre who is a Heritage Guide. The weather was good to us, and we spent 2½ hours exploring the area. We learned interesting facts about the river, and people who used to live there. There was Dave the Peddlar who was cut up (literally) and dumped in the river. There was the hidden well, evidence of brick works and old jetties. There was the wreckage of Henry V's ship, Grace Dieu. However, the highlight of the walk was when Phil fell off the fence! Oh how everyone laughed. (He wasn't hurt!)
Many thanks to the families who supported us, by participating and by sponsoring. We raised over £300 and presented a donation of £140 to the QEII centre on 4 August. Families who walked, and walked, and walked . . . Small, Perrin, Jones, Daud, Nicholson, Trimmer Not too late to make a donation and reward their efforts on behalf of the club! updated 4 August 2008
Inner Wheel visited the Sunday Multi Sports Group on 22 June 2008 to present us with a cheque for £500 towards our summer activities. Many thanks to them for their fund raising efforts. June 2008
